Clint Evans

Head Coach

Coach Evans is in his 20th year of coaching and has spent 14 years as a head coach on the girls’ basketball side, leading programs at three different schools. His career is highlighted by a state championship in 2019 at Cherry Creek High School, along with multiple successful postseason runs. Originally from Olathe, Coach Evans played high school basketball before continuing his career at Johnson County Community College.

Adam McCanna

Assistant Varsity Coach

The 2025–26 season marks Coach McCanna’s first year coaching at Evergreen High School. He brings a wealth of playing experience and long-term coaching knowledge to our program. Coach McCanna played collegiately at the University of Denver from 1993–1998 before continuing his career as a professional basketball player for five years in Europe, Asia, and the CBA. Coach McCanna has dedicated the last 13 years to coaching youth basketball, focusing on skill development, fundamentals, and basketball IQ.

Drew Boyle

Junior Varsity Coach

This is Coach Boyle’s first year as JV head coach at Evergreen High School. He played high school basketball in Northern California at Mount Shasta High School, where he was a two-time league MVP.

He went on to play one year of collegiate basketball at the University of Oregon. Go Ducks! Coach Boyle has spent the last three seasons coaching youth sports with Evergreen Sports Academy. We are excited to welcome Coach Boyle to our Cougar program.

Patrick Romano

Level 3 Head Coach:

Coach Romano returns for his fourth year on the Cougar Staff. Originally from Wisconsin, Coach Romano played in high school at Elkhorn HS and in college at the University of Wisconsin Osh-Kosh. He has a deep love for the game and has been coaching and working basketball camps for most of his life, including coaching at Pierce Community College in Los Angeles. Since moving to Colorado he has done some coaching at the junior high level for EPRD. Coach Romano Lives in Evergreen with wife Natalie and his four daughters: Juniper, Dove, Coco, and Elsa.

Brad Borgman

Assistant Coach:

This is Coach Borgman’s second year with Evergreen basketball.

An Indiana native, Borgman played high school basketball at Jac-Cen-Del and remains the school’s all-time leading scorer. He is also a member of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Silver Anniversary Team and the Ripley County Hall of Fame. Coach Borgman continued his career at Eastern Kentucky University (1 yr), University of Indianapolis (2 yrs), and Indiana University - Southeast (1 yr).

He lives in Evergreen with his wife and three children.
